SOFTWARE / PRODUCTION

Production app

A local workspace that connects a formulation to the decisions around a finished product: cost, component records, compliance labelling, output copy, and approval.

What it helps with.

Product information often lives in several places and gets recomputed by hand. The production app keeps the source formulation visible while preparing the information needed for costing and output review.

01

Work from the live formulation

Products, formulations, components, quantities, sub-formulations, and output sizes stay connected instead of becoming separate copies.

02

See the whole product cost

Materials, handling labour, production labour, packaging, overhead, and profit appear together for the finished output.

03

Prepare compliance information

Component statements, label information, and copy-ready text come from the same formulation graph for review. The app does not itself certify regulatory compliance.

04

Keep an approval trail

Saved snapshots and output sign-offs are explicit. Current calculations stay separate from approved historical outputs.

How it works.

The app is organized around one product at a time, so the operator can move from formulation to output review without losing the source of each number or statement.

  1. 01Choose a product

Find it in the local records and open its workspace.

  2. 02Review the formulation

Check components, quantities, sub-formulations, and coverage.

  3. 03Complete the costs

Add selling price, labour, packaging, and overhead inputs.

  4. 04Review the output

Check component copy, compliance labelling, history, and approval.

What has been observed.

The installed app has opened the working local records while preserving the existing product and formulation records.

Installed local app

The verified app runs on the local computer and opens its workspace normally.

Real records

The existing products and formulations loaded after the database was safely prepared and checked.

Costing in place

The live materials-cost view appeared with a clear prompt for the selling price instead of inventing missing values.

The practical boundary

The production app is a local single-workstation tool, not a public cloud service. Its answers depend on the component, formulation, output, and cost information supplied to it. Missing inputs produce an explanation instead of an incomplete profit estimate. It prepares compliance and label information for review; approval within the app is not certification of regulatory compliance.

More software, experiments, and fiction.
